About BG Remover Online

BG Remover Online removes the background from images and short videos and gives back files with real transparency: a transparent PNG for images, and a WebM or ProRes 4444 video with a genuine alpha channel for clips. It also has free converters for the alpha formats editors and browsers disagree about.

Why it exists

Most tools that “remove a video background” hand back a video on green or black, or a file whose transparency quietly disappears in the next app. The result has to be checked by hand, re-exported, and often redone. This site is built around the opposite promise: every result is checked for a real alpha channel before it is offered, and the formats are the ones editing software and browsers actually read.

It is made and run by an independent developer.

How it works

Background removal is done by machine-learning models: videos by VEED’s Video Background Removal model and images by Bria’s background removal model. The site prepares your file, sends it for processing, checks the result for transparency and encodes it into the format you chose. Pricing

New accounts get free credits to try it. After that, credits come in one-time packs or monthly and yearly plans; one credit covers one image or one second of video. The pricing page lists every option.
