What the service does
BG Remover Online removes the background from an image and exports a transparent PNG, or from a short video and exports a transparent WebM. Results are produced by machine-learning models, which are not exact: hair, motion blur, transparent objects and busy backgrounds can come out imperfectly. Check every result before you use it.
What you may upload
- Only images and videos you own or have permission to use and modify.
- Nothing unlawful, nothing that infringes someone else’s rights, and nothing intended to deceive, harass or impersonate a person or an organisation.
- No sexual content involving minors, and no intimate images of anyone without their consent.
Accounts that appear to break these rules may be closed without notice. Automated or bulk use is not permitted.
Limits
Videos: MP4, MOV, WebM or M4V, up to 60 seconds, 30 fps, 1080p and 200 MB. Images: PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 15 MB and 8000 pixels per side. There are daily upload limits per account and a daily processing total for the site; reaching one returns a clear message and does not use credits.
Credits, payment and refunds
- One credit processes one image or one started second of video. The cost is shown before you start a job.
- A new account receives 5 free credits once. Free credits may be withheld when unusually many accounts are created in a short time.
- Credit packs are paid for once and do not expire.
- Plans are a recurring charge, billed monthly or yearly. PayPal charges the price shown on the pricing page at the start of each billing period until you cancel: every month for monthly plans, once a year for annual plans. Plan credits are granted when a payment completes and then at the start of each month of the paid period, so annual plans also receive their allowance month by month.
- Plan credits do not carry over: whatever is left when the next billing month starts is replaced by the new allowance. Plan credits are spent before any other credits.
- Cancel any time from My videos or from PayPal. Cancelling stops the next charge; your plan credits stay usable until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part of a billing period.
- If a plan payment fails, the plan is suspended and its credits stop at the end of the paid period until you subscribe again.
- Credits are reserved when a job starts. If processing fails, the reserved credits are returned automatically. A job whose submission to the processing provider could not be confirmed may take up to two hours to resolve.
- Credits spent on results you received are not refundable, because the processing has already been paid for on your behalf. If a result is unusable because of a fault on our side, write to us and we will return the credits.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed, the credits it bought are removed from your balance.
- Prices are in US dollars and are charged as shown.
Your work
You keep every right you have in the files you upload and in the results. We claim none. See the privacy page for what is stored and for how long; download results you need within 7 days.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It depends on third parties that can change or stop, it may be unavailable, and a result may be wrong. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown on this page with a new date; continuing to use the service after that means accepting them.
